As of April 1, 2022, the available rate for the Home Support Agencies is $22.49/hour with the minimum wage paid to staff being $15.50/hr. On October 1, 2022, the rate will increase to $23.69/hr., with the minimum wage paid to staff set at $16.50/hr.

New Brunswick is the only province where community support services for seniors fall under Department of Social Development.

There are currently 46 Home Support Agencies contracted with approximately 4,167 employees.

Private Homes Special Care Homes Level 1-2 - Memory Care Rates New Brunswick
On October 1, 2020, home support agencies received an increase $0.60 /hour to increase the rate paid to $21.05 with the required staff who have completed their probationary period of not more than 6 months be paid, at a minimum $15.30/hour.
 
April 1, 2121, which increased the rate paid to agencies to $21.29/hour with the required staff who have completed their probationary period of not more than 6 months be paid, at a minimum $15.50/hour. In 2021, $12.4 million was invested to increase wages for workers in the human service sector.
 
There are approximately 44 agencies with signed contracts with Social Development. New Brunswick is the only province where community support services for seniors fall under Department of Social Development.

​The Association represents 44 agencies in the province, which employ more than 3500 homecare workers.
